Took this coat to Quebec on a fishing trip, all week long riding in an open john boat. It really cut the wind and provided excellent barrier between me and the weather. I used a hoodie underneath for warmth, this coat has no lining so don't get it for extreme cold.

Best jacket I have bought that is waterproof and rugged. Keeps you warm actually if the weather is 45 - 60 degrees wearing a t shirt and light sweater. I bought this for the rain when I haul stuff onto trucks and its my everyday wear for the fall - spring season. I bought this product while looking for a light weight jacket that I could use while being active outdoors. I was pleasantly surprised with how well this jacket moves when bending and raising my arms above my head. It has lots of pockets on the arms and forearms. Plenty of places for headphones to be used as well. One of the great features was the hood, it has a bill like that of a ball cap on it for added rain and sun protection. I tried it on a morning of 49 degrees while walking and it was plenty warm and was also able to shed some rainfall.

If you're looking for rugged and weather-proof, this is the jacket to get. Like the descriptions says, it's made from military-grade material, and I believe it! I tried testing the material out by running my pocket knife over the sleeve and it didn't cut through. Amazing!

I bought this jacket about month ago. I like it alot and I have gotten a lot of compliments about it. However, it didn't prove it's worth till last night. We were riding through a typhoon last night and I had anchor watch for 6 hours on the bow. Despite 60 knots winds and rain I stayed warm and comfortable.
