What fuel is required to refill this item?

Fill the lighter with BUTANE only. Turn the lighter upside down so the bottom faces upwards and it's top rests on your work surface. Insert the grommet covered tip of the applicator into the refill valve. Press down on the bottle to disengage the refill bottle's release valve.

Why is my lighter not working/no butane?

Due to shipping restrictions, our lighters are shipped with an empty tank.

How long can one refill last on this item?

It actually depends on how you use it. As this item has three different settings, the length of how long you can continuously use it varies between 20 to 40 minutes.

Straight out of the box I filled it with butane and functioned perfectly! I then proceeded to use it burning up limbs and dead tree chunks. Worked faster and plenty of heat to get things started with the wood being wet! Talk about flawless service and shipment! Customer for life!

Looks awesome but I'm having serious issues getting it to fill with butane. I have used butane torches before without a problem, but when I attempt to fill it and wait, it doesn't ignite. I see the igniter sparking, but no gas is coming out. It is also silent outside of the click of the button, even empty I would expect to hear some noise attempting to push gas out

It is awesome … it is a bit of an overkill for whatever I use it for but so much fun … especially the look on other people’s faces when you pull it out and use it. I love the product…. I bought 4 of these torches. Two of the units function just like the videos (ya know burning a hole through a can in less than a minute, ftw)! Yet TWO of them will barely light a piece of Kleenex and a light breeze will kill the flame!?! I’m a 40yo mother, All of the units have only filled with high quality butane, barely been used, not mistreated, and stored with care. Quality control issue?

I am very happy with this butane lighter. The flame can go from small to very large. The main thing is this works well. I hope it stays that way. It appears to be made well and off good materials. I think it looks good, but you may or may not agree. I filled it with my own butane and it worked like a charm. Always get good quality propane otherwise you may clog your propane lighters. I do recommend this. It is working well for me.
